A global revenue technology unicorn is seeking a Software Architect to take a central role in shaping the company’s infrastructure architecture and long-term technical direction.
This position is designed for a senior technical leader who combines deep cloud expertise with strong engineering judgment, hands-on execution, and the ability to influence complex decisions across multiple teams.
You will work across Platform, Infrastructure, Engineering, Data, Security, and AI to improve the foundations on which the company builds and operates its products.
Key responsibilities
• Shape the architecture and evolution of large-scale cloud infrastructure
• Define technical principles, reusable patterns, and engineering standards
• Drive improvements in system reliability, scalability, availability, and operational readiness
• Lead complex architectural initiatives across multiple engineering groups
• Identify structural issues, technical debt, and recurring operational bottlenecks
• Improve developer experience through better tooling, automation, and platform capabilities
• Promote consistent Infrastructure as Code and GitOps practices
• Provide architectural guidance for Kubernetes-based and distributed environments
• Build prototypes, internal tools, and automation to validate and accelerate technical solutions
• Support future infrastructure needs related to AI, machine learning, data processing, and high-compute workloads
• Partner with senior engineering leaders to align short-term execution with long-term technical strategy
Required experience
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in software, platform, cloud, or infrastructure engineering
• Extensive experience designing and operating production systems on AWS
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes, cloud-native architecture, and distributed systems
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code and GitOps environments
• Practical experience with Terraform, Crossplane, Pulumi, or comparable technologies
• Strong programming skills in Python, Go, or another relevant language
• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives involving multiple teams and stakeholders
• Experience defining architecture in fast-growing, large-scale engineering organizations
• Strong understanding of reliability, scalability, observability, automation, and system design
• Ability to translate broad technical challenges into clear, executable solutions
• Experience with AI or ML infrastructure, GPU-based environments, LLM platforms, or large-scale data pipelines – An advantage
