A successful and well-established identity technology company is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer – Data Platform to join a core engineering team building scalable, resilient, and data-intensive systems.
The company’s platform is based on a modular, API-first architecture and is designed to support high throughput, low latency, and an excellent developer experience. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys solving complex architectural challenges and building reusable infrastructure used across multiple products and teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop scalable services and reusable backend and frontend components
• Build resilient microservices and data-platform capabilities for high-scale production environments
• Provide architectural direction and solve complex engineering and code-design challenges
• Design flexible APIs and software components that can support evolving customer and internal requirements
• Improve system performance, reliability, maintainability, and operational readiness
• Collaborate with engineering, product, data, and infrastructure teams throughout the development lifecycle
• Take ownership from technical design and implementation through deployment and production support
Required Experience
• 5+ years of hands-on backend development experience using TypeScript and Node.js, Python, Java, Scala, or a similar language
• 5+ years of hands-on frontend development experience with React, Angular, Vue, or a comparable framework
• Strong experience designing and operating production-grade software systems
• Solid understanding of microservices, distributed architecture, and reusable component design
• Practical experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and modern DevOps or delivery environments
• Strong architectural thinking and the ability to make sound technical decisions in complex systems
• Experience working effectively in cross-functional engineering environments
