A successful Cyber SaaS company is looking for a Senior AI Backend Engineer to build large-scale backend systems that power AI-driven security capabilities.
This role is ideal for a strong backend engineer with experience in distributed systems, high-throughput environments, and production AI. You will own complex services end to end and work on systems where scale, latency, reliability, and security are critical.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and build scalable backend services for AI-powered security products
• Own architecture, development, deployment, monitoring, and production optimization
• Develop distributed, concurrent, and latency-sensitive systems
• Integrate AI capabilities into real-time product workflows
• Work with cloud infrastructure, data stores, messaging systems, and secure APIs
• Lead complex technical projects from concept through production
Required Experience
• 5–6+ years of strong backend engineering experience
• Proven experience building high-scale distributed systems
• Strong proficiency in Go, Python, Java, C#, Scala, or a similar backend language
• Experience with cloud platforms, containers, and CI/CD pipelines
• Hands-on experience with databases and messaging systems such as MongoDB, Redis, Kafka, or PostgreSQL
• Experience integrating or developing AI-powered capabilities
• Strong understanding of concurrency, networking, APIs, and production troubleshooting
• Independent, hands-on, and highly ownership-oriented mindset
Strong Advantages
• Deep production experience with Go
• Background in cybersecurity, fraud detection, or risk-scoring systems
• Experience optimizing high-volume services for latency, cost, and availability
• Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, Opsgenie, or similar monitoring tools
