A stealth-mode defense startup is looking for a highly skilled Senior Aeronautics Engineer to join its multidisciplinary engineering team and take a key role in the development of advanced defense systems. This position is ideal for an experienced engineer with a strong background in aerodynamics, analytical thinking, and end-to-end ownership of complex engineering challenges.
What you’ll do:
• Lead aeronautical design and analysis activities for advanced multidisciplinary systems
• Perform aerodynamic calculations, simulations, and performance assessments
• Develop and evaluate aerodynamic configurations under various operational conditions
• Translate complex system requirements into practical engineering solutions
• Conduct trade-off studies and support key design decisions throughout the development process
• Work closely with mechanical, systems, control, and testing teams
• Plan, support, and analyze laboratory and field tests
• Investigate performance gaps, identify root causes, and recommend design improvements
• Take ownership of projects from initial concept through design, testing, validation, and implementation
• Prepare engineering documentation, reports, and technical presentations
Requirements:
• At least 3 years of professional experience in aeronautical engineering – mandatory
• Proven hands-on experience in aerodynamics – mandatory
• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering
• Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, flight mechanics, and aerodynamic performance
• Experience with aerodynamic simulations, numerical analysis, and engineering calculations
• Ability to work on complex multidisciplinary systems in a fast-paced development environment
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical decision-making skills
