A cybersecurity startup is looking for a Cyber Data Analyst to join its growing Research team.
The company develops an AI-driven platform that helps software organizations identify and prevent security vulnerabilities and design flaws at the earliest stages of development.
This is a senior, highly analytical role at the intersection of cybersecurity, product research, Big Data, and AI. You will work with large-scale datasets to evaluate product performance, identify improvement opportunities, and translate complex findings into practical product and business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze large and complex datasets using SQL and Python
• Evaluate how security capabilities and product features perform in real-world environments
• Identify patterns, gaps, anomalies, and opportunities for product improvement
• Translate data insights into recommendations for new features and detection capabilities
• Support urgent technical and business questions through focused ad-hoc analysis
• Build analytical workflows, reports, and research methodologies
• Work closely with Security Researchers, AI specialists, Product, and Engineering teams
• Use AI tools to accelerate analysis, research, and insight generation
• Present findings clearly to both technical and business stakeholders
Required Experience
• 3–4+ years of experience in Data Analysis, Product Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related role
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL and Python — mandatory
• Proven ability to analyze and process large-scale datasets
• Strong analytical thinking and the ability to draw practical conclusions from complex data
• Clear interest in AI technologies and experience working with AI tools
• Ability to work independently in a fast-moving and research-oriented environment
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Strong Advantages
• Background in cybersecurity, Application Security, or software security products
• Previous experience as a Product Analyst or Business Analyst in a cyber company
• Experience from a relevant military technology or intelligence unit
• Familiarity with security data, vulnerabilities, software development processes, or detection systems
• Experience working closely with research or product development teams
