A global unicorn in the revenue technology space is hiring an Application Security Team Lead to lead a critical security function at the heart of its engineering organization.
This role is for a hands-on security leader who can set direction, build strong teams, and create security foundations that support rapid product development at scale.
You will be responsible for advancing the company’s application security capabilities across cloud-native products, AI-enabled systems, APIs, and complex engineering environments.
Your role
• Manage and develop a team of Application Security Engineers
• Set the long-term direction for application and product security
• Build scalable security practices across the software development lifecycle
• Lead security architecture reviews and threat-modeling processes
• Define secure engineering standards for cloud services, APIs, identity, data access, and distributed applications
• Create automated controls that integrate directly into development and deployment workflows
• Oversee application security risks, vulnerabilities, prioritization, and remediation
• Lead the company’s Bug Bounty program and external vulnerability response process
• Develop security ownership across R&D through a dedicated Security Champions program
• Support security investigations and response processes related to the application platform
• Work closely with Product, Engineering, Infrastructure, DevOps, and AI teams
What we’re looking for
• 6+ years of experience in Application Security, Product Security, or Platform Security
• 3+ years of experience managing teams or leading a security engineering function
• Proven experience working in large-scale SaaS or cloud-native environments
• Strong knowledge of APIs, IAM, containers, cloud architecture, and software supply chain security
• Experience with secure development processes, vulnerability management, threat modeling, and security automation
• Programming experience in Python, Java, or another relevant language
• Experience securing AI-based products, LLM systems, or autonomous workflows is a strong advantage
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills
• Ability to make practical security decisions in a fast-moving product environment
