A profitable and well-established cybersecurity startup is looking for an Agent Team Lead to lead the development of its core endpoint sensor.
The company builds a security platform that identifies and remediates misconfigurations across large enterprise environments. This role combines team leadership with deep hands-on work on low-level, cross-platform systems operating close to the OS.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead a team developing the company’s core endpoint agent
• Own architecture, technical direction, and delivery of system-level capabilities
• Stay hands-on in design, coding, debugging, and performance optimization
• Build reliable, efficient, and secure software for Windows, Linux, and macOS
• Solve complex challenges involving concurrency, memory, runtime behavior, and system internals
• Partner with Product, Security, and Backend teams on end-to-end capabilities
• Mentor engineers and promote strong engineering standards and ownership
Required Experience
• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure, systems, or low-level software development
• Proven experience leading an engineering team
• Strong background in agent-based products, security infrastructure, or system-level development
• Deep understanding of operating systems, multithreading, concurrency, memory, and performance
• Strong coding skills in Go, C++, or a similar language
• Experience developing cross-platform software for Windows, Linux, and macOS
Strong Advantages
• Experience with endpoint security or posture management products
• Background in cybersecurity
• Familiarity with telemetry, observability, or runtime analysis
• Experience building software for large enterprise environments
• Previous leadership experience in a fast-growing startup
