A fast-growing SaaS company in the Security domain is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to take ownership of backend infrastructure and drive API development in a highly modern, event-driven, serverless environment.

Responsibilities
- Lead backend development efforts with a strong focus on clean, scalable architecture
- Develop APIs and backend services using Node.js + TypeScript
- Own and evolve infrastructure on AWS, including serverless functions and microservices
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or similar tools
- Support CI/CD pipelines and contribute to DevOps processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product delivery and performance
- Work in an event-driven architecture environment with real-time processing
- Ensure security, observability, and scalability of backend systems
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in backend engineering – preferably in a SaaS or startup environment
- Hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript – required
- Strong experience with AWS and cloud-native/serverless development – must
- Proficiency in building and managing infrastructure with tools like Terraform – must
- Exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD, and monitoring
- Experience working with event-driven systems
- Independent, fast learner, and comfortable in fast-paced, high-ownership environments
- Bonus: Experience with security-focused SaaS products or IAM workflows
