We’re looking for a highly skilled JavaScript expert to research, analyze, and help mitigate malware and adware behaviors targeting web applications and customer environments. In this critical role, you’ll investigate JavaScript-based threats, identify malicious patterns, and build security solutions for a SaaS platform.
What you’ll do
- Develop and maintain a cross-platform JavaScript-based security solution
- Build methodologies and tooling to help protect customer networks and web environments
- Conduct deep analysis of JavaScript code to detect malicious behaviors, patterns, and indicators
- Develop tools and approaches for detecting and analyzing malware/adware in JS applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement SaaS security solutions
- Stay current with evolving malware/adware techniques, including new evasion methods and trends
Requirements
- 5+ years of JavaScript development experience
- Strong understanding of core JS concepts, including asynchronous programming
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles
- Familiarity with obfuscation and evasion techniques
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and web services
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Experience with malware/adware techniques and threat research – advantages
- Familiarity with reverse engineering / malware analysis tools (e.g., IDA Pro, OllyDbg) – advantages
