Position Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience as a Senior Data Engineer, with deep expertise in data platforms such as Dagster, Databricks, and Snowflake. The role requires a strong proficiency in SQL and advanced programming skills, preferably in Python. The candidate should be an independent, self-learner who is passionate about data and capable of translating business needs into effective data models.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and architectures to support our security tools and analytics.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable data models.
- Implement and optimize data platforms, including Dagster, Databricks, and Snowflake, to ensure efficient data processing and storage.
- Develop and maintain complex SQL queries and advanced data processing scripts using Python.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security across all data platforms.
- Identify and resolve data-related issues and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to bring ideas into production and clear uncertainties in a dynamic startup environment.
- Continuously explore and evaluate new technologies and tools to enhance our data infrastructure and capabilities.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Senior Data Engineer.
- Extensive experience with data platforms such as Dagster, Databricks, and Snowflake.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and advanced programming skills, preferably in Python.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, startup environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to translate business needs into effective data models.
- Passion for data and a continuous drive to learn and implement new technologies.
