We’re looking for a visionary, deeply technical Chief Architect for Data, AI & GenAI Platforms to own the architecture, tooling, and long-term technology direction of enterprise data + AI + GenAI products and initiatives. This is a foundational leadership role at the intersection of hands-on system design, cross-functional enablement, and strategic innovation—powering intelligent products, agent-based experiences, and scalable AI platforms.
What you’ll do
- Define and own the technology vision, architecture, and evolution roadmap for Data / ML / AI / GenAI across the organization
- Lead design (and hands-on guidance) of scalable data pipelines, real-time analytics, AI agent platforms, model hosting, and enterprise knowledge frameworks
- Connect and align initiatives: LLM agents, vector databases, RAG pipelines, MLOps, enterprise data lakes—ensuring coherence, reusability, and security
- Establish and enforce technical standards, patterns, and tooling across teams to ensure quality, performance, scalability
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Business leaders to align platform strategy with product goals and customer outcomes
- Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies: open-source GenAI frameworks, fine-tuning platforms, orchestration tools, and cloud-native architectures
- Mentor principal engineers, data scientists, platform leads, and architects—driving a culture of technical excellence, experimentation, and ownership
- Champion data quality, model explainability, AI governance, and Responsible AI across the lifecycle
- Represent the organization in technical forums, conferences, and customer engagements when needed
Requirements (must-have)
- 15+ years in software engineering / data architecture / AI/ML systems
- 5+ years in architect leadership roles in a product-led technology company
- Proven experience designing and building large-scale data platforms, AI systems, and production ML pipelines in cloud-native environments
- Deep expertise in: Data architecture & streaming, ML infrastructure & MLOps, Generative AI, Cloud infrastructure (AWS / Azure / GCP)
- Experience influencing architectural decisions at scale across 100+ person engineering orgs while staying hands-on and pragmatic
- Strong platform mindset: modular, reusable systems, developer-centric tooling, infrastructure-as-product
- Excellent communication + storytelling: translate technical vision to execs, engineers, and customers
- BSc/MSc in CS/Engineering/Data Science (PhD a plus)
